A graduate of American University, he majored in International Studies and Audio Production, while keeping music as a personal focus. He took saxophone lessons with Noah Getz, studying the classical canon of the instrument and participating in the American University Saxophone Quartet as well as his “Jazz Workshop”. He also studied jazz on the acoustic bass with Joshua Bayer, while participating in the American University Jazz Ensemble. Further study on the acoustic bass includes lessons with Herman Burney, Pepe Gonzalez, Ephraim Wolfolk and Steve Novosel.
